Addressing School Attendance
Problems: According to The
National Center for School Engagement,
truancy is one of the top 10 problems
facing schools. The challenge is that
there is no one solution to address
truancy. Effective methods are as unique
as each individual family. Due to the
fact that truancy rates are going up, it
is important to address truancy and to
create effective and lasting
partnerships between everyone involved
with the common goal of reaching kids
that have disconnected from
schools. Learn

Resources for Parents
Parents Are Key to Keeping Children in
School. It is easy to
understand why it is important for a
child to stay in school and get a high
school diploma. A high school graduate
has an easier time finding and keeping a
job. Plus, the graduate will earn more
money than the person who never gets a
diploma. Having that piece of paper
increases the number of choices and
opportunities that young person will
encounter! Learn
